Castanets

If you nip over to the right and click on "timbobig" there's a recipe for cheese straws. I haven't actually thought about cheese straws for possibly thirty years or something...but it hit a chord...and I remembered a kitchen in a place called Dollar...no really...and so I've made the dough and will roll it out later because right now I am off to draw "Divine song of the Nightingale" or maybe "March of the Snail". What a choice! These drawings are eventually going to join up with guitarist Annette Kruisbrink.

Meanwhile, here's a link to a Russian who...well...have a look for yourself for a few, strangely different minutes. Get your dancing shoes on.

  4. I'm asking.
    Right, back to the shooze.
Hope the straws turned out OK, lovely to know that my mum's old recipe is now being tried out in Catalunya - she'd have been delighted.

  6. The straws were so good...they only lasted three hours. My mum used to make them too. Much nicer than the things in packets now. I think some fireater curry powder might go well in them too.

  7. I don't want to interrupt your wonderful dialogue, but wanted to tell you your castanets drawing was wonderful, got the whole madness of the thing. (Love the bird!) Also, the piano rendition was very sensitive. He has good technique (his hands are gently on the keyboard, all the power flows through them, not out of them—like hammers). Ok, I'll let you go. You always have the most scintillating music on your site. Sorry I'm not here more often...Nice new site too...saludos! mark
