The dreaming figurehead.

Off to the garden centre with Beanie. Basil plant high on the list. The heat outside is already like a furnace. It is days like this that I wish I lived in a forest full of beech trees and waterfalls. ..or Gairloch...or...
The above is done in Ultrafractal 4.0 and Photoshop.
And if you need to cool down this will probably help.

  1. How do you manage to keep your basil plants alive and flourishing? Ours wilt, blacken and die as soon as we look at them. As for growing our own...

40 degrees here too. If it gets any hotter disturbing hallucinations may kick in, e.g. the non-existence of Maureen.

  2. The basil plants don't seem to like being in pots or in full sunlight all day. I put them directly in the ground and in this weather water twice a day. Sometimes they go mad and are waist high at the end of summer but the last one wilted, went black and died, ha, ha.
I see Maureen all the time.

  3. I tried to leave a comment here last week when I was away from home, but the library computer kept refusing it. I have no idea what I planned tp say, but I demand my right to say it.
