Is he really called Fido? I didn't know dogs were called that any more, especially Alsatians. It's like the three-headed Hogwarts guard dog Fluffy. A friend of mine once had a dog called Rover, who did just that and eventually disappeared.
He's really called Max. I wonder where Rover went. Was he a wild rover?
I have a neighbour who had a cat called Max. When he died (the cat) she got a new kitten & called him Rex.
