Don't look now.

Whatever you do, don't look up either. You never know what is lurking up there. This is Carcassonne, the best time of year to visit for empty places and loads of atmosphere. The light in the sky is like glass and a gusty wind blowing.

Behind the museum of horrors and torture there is a small group of local children. They are strategically  placed by the emergency back door. Everytime they hear a horrendous sound effect coming from inside the building (as the tourists go through the tour) they let out high pitched mosquito -on-acid screams, which in turn prompts the people inside the building to scream even louder as they realise they are listening to the real thing.
It's very funny but then that's why I am here.
