One small dog

Adobe illustrator has great virtual paintbrushes and it's got me thinking...is it time to get out the oils and do a great big canvas? I used to have a studio where the light poured in from the ramshackle roof and windows. It looked onto an ancient castle and on certain days the vultures would wheel by in the sky, or a deer that lived near a railway bridge would trot past in the morning mist.
Or if you couldn't think what to do you could wander down to the pines where the Romans and Moors threw their broken dinner plates at various intervals and pick up handfuls of decorated shards.
I am off to land of ancestors soon. Easily found on Google Streetview where you can take a virtual tour of the west coast of Scotland. I was there this morning. It still looks wonderful.

To be continued...

When does one go silver? I don't know, so I continue to fend off the culprits with a box of "frosty chestnut" (because you're worth it or in my case wirth it) but, although the resulting colour is quite pleasing, and very close to my original colour...it looks like someone has hennaed a Jackson Pollock across my forehead. I guess this is why people go to hairdressers.
And just for the sake of oddness...how come nearly everyone who drops by here has connections with a very small area of the west of Scotland? What does it all mean?  Hands up birthdays in April...
Oh...and the above is the first two panels of the strip but I'm off to play the guitar now.

Spot the Octopus

No, not in the picture...in the link below.

Last night I had a spectacular boxing match with a peculiar blond man on a Wii. It had never ocurred to me that I might enjoy pasting a virtual somebody but it was strangely satisfying.  Mainly for the sound effects...I think.
Then I joined three virtual buddies for a tennis match and reminded myself of what a lousy tennis player I always was and how "gym" at school was a subject of dread.
"Miss Weeruth, go and give the hockey balls a new lick of paint. It's the only thing you do well."
Or my favourite..."Miss Weeruth. Away up Dollar Hill with you and be back in forty five minutes."
From halfway up Dollar Hill I watched the miniature game of hockey unfolding below . Believe me, it was far more enjoyable up there then on the pitch.

Upsidedown Blue Teacup Flying Through Space.

The thing is...when you start playing around in fractals, you can't stop. Cutting out circles, spherizing them, pasting them back in different scales or pasting a bit of another drawing. Then suddenly hours have gone by.

A message from the Gods has arrived in the form of an invitation to visit the Highlands of Scotland this summer. A childhood summer paradise on the West coast where I built dams against the tides on the white beaches in Arisaig. The Gods are definately telling me to go. So I will. New adventures..old friends.Thank you...thank you. It's been a while.
