Oh my gosh, stumbled on this. Is that grandson of Django? I met son of Django in Milan in 1968, at a mad woman's artistic soiree. We played a duet (at least he did; I just tried to keep up.) We fell out of the mad woman's pad at five in the morning, and I fell over. Plus ca change.
Oh I love Django Reinhardt. I went to see a band earlier this year called The TG Collective who played music like this :)
ReplyDeleteI have the sheet music for this if you want. Ha, ha. But you need about forty fingers on each hand to play it.
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful wallpaper!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter had a band like that when she got married in Spain. Made a change from a 60's disco.
And what do you think of the fabulous Rodrigo y Gabriela?
Thanks for introducing me to Gabriela and Rodrigo. I'm not up to that speed!Whereabouts in Spain was the marriage?
ReplyDeleteLa Zubia, near Granada where they lived for about 5 years. They moved to Derbyshire when the kids started reaching school age.
